Five: Analog

Analog

Bitter Sweet Changes

You used to write love letters instead of sending emoji and words in abbreviation

You used to call me through the pay phone instead of free calls in facebook

You used to say you love me personally instead of sending stupid stickers from messenger

You used to express your feelings to someone directly instead of sharing quotes from Poems Porns and Berlin Art Parasites

You used to eat great foods without a camera in front of you

You used to dream big and plan for the future instead of posting things that this worldy humanity has to offer

You used to criticize with proper judgement instead of writing an improper and idiotic statement

You used to collect books hard bounds and soft bounds instead of downloading pirated EBooks and PDF’s

You used to love someone because of their presence and not just because they liked and shared your photo

You used to sleep early at night and eat meals on time instead of doing random things and skipping meals because of today’s technology

Well people change, might as well this world abruptly changes

How about you?

What do you think?

Hello everyone! I’ll be posting new write ups and piece probably two days from now. Summer classes is near to its end and I’m glad. Anyway tell me about your analog story and share it with others!

  1. I really liked this , you know . I could relate with every word , it’s sad how love these days has been confined and trapped in artificial barriers. It’s eerie how strongly technology impacts us. People ,nowadays , are gradually forgetting the value of little things that makes one smile. Nice post !

  2. While I do enjoy technology, and use it for everything, I do miss a lot of the old ways. I haven’t written or received a letter in many years.
